IMPROVEMENT PURPOSES. "COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION" AS USED IN

THIS SECTION MEANS AN ORGANIZATION, WHETHER OR NOT

INCORPORATED,__FORMED TO PROMOTE THE GENERAL WELFARE OF

THE COMMUNITY IT SERVES WHICH IS NOT OPERATED FOR PROFIT

AND WHOSE NET EARNINGS DO NOT INURE TO THE BENEFIT OF ANY
STOCKHOLDER OR MEMBER.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1976.

AN ACT concerning

Maryland Racing Commission

FOR the purpose of changing the date for the submission
of the annual report of the Maryland Racing
Commission to the Secretary of Licensing and
Regulation; providing for the appointment of all
judges and stewards by the Racing Commission;
permitting certain recommendations to be made to the
Commission; removing an incorrect reference and
clarifying the appointment of judges for trotting
and pacing race meetings; correcting language; and
making style changes.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 4 and 5(b) of Article 78B -
Racing Commission, of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1975 Replacement Volume and 1975 Supplement) be and they
are hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:

Article 78B — Racing Commission
