(A)          IT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS SUBTITLE TO PREVENT
NEEDLESS INSTITUTIONALIZATION OF AGED CITIZENS AND TO
DETERMINE THROUGH MEDICAL, NURSING AND SOCIAL EVALUATION
THE NEEDS OF AGED PERSONS AND SUGGEST PROPER AND RELEVANT
RESOURCES THAT WILL ADEQUATELY SATISFY THESE NEEDS.

(B)         THE COMMISSION ON THE AGING SHALL ESTABLISH
GERIATRIC EVALUATION SERVICES IN SUFFICIENT NUMBERS AND
STRATEGICALLY LOCATED THROUGHOUT THE STATE TO MOST
EFFECTIVELY CARRY OUT THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SUBTITLE.]]

SECTION [[3]] 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That
this Act shall take effect July 1, 1976.

hereby added to Article 81 — Revenue and Taxes, of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1975 Replacement Volume and
1975 Supplement) to read as follows:
