JOINT RESOLUTIONS
WHEREAS, A study and evaluation of the present system
of publication, public awareness, distribution, and
dissemination of State and local documents would result in
recommendations for increased efficiency, affecting both
government agencies and citizens; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, That the
Governor is requested to create a Task Force on Government
Publications and Reports to study possible improvements of
the present system of collecting, distributing, and making
accessible various State and local government documents, and
be it further
RESOLVED, That the Task Force shall consist of the
Governor or his designee, one member of the House of
Delegates, one member of the Senate of Maryland, one
representative of the Division of Library Development and
Services of the State Department of Education, one
representative of each State Depository Library and Agency
as specified in Article 40 Section 53 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland, one representative of the Division of State
Documents, and at least four members of the general public
who are concerned with the quality of library services in
this State; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be sent to the
Honorable Harry Hughes,

A Senate Joint Resolution concerning
Hospital Regulations Study Commission
FOR the purpose of requesting the Governor Legislative
Policy Committee to appoint a Commission to study the
duplication of hospital regulations; providing for the
appointment of certain members to serve on the
Commission; and requiring the Commission to report its
recommendations to the Governor and the General
Assembly Legislative Policy Committee by a certain
date.
WHEREAS, In December 1978, the Maryland Hospital
Association published the results of a partial survey of the
areas of regulation to which its member institutions are
subject; and
