funded by a 60 percent contribution from the employees and
40 percent contribution from the State; now, therefore, be

it

RESOLVED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND, That the
Secretary of Personnel be requested to undertake a study of
the feasibility and cost of such a preventative dental
health care program for all State employees, regardless of
what, if any, health care program in which they may be
presently enrolled, and to report back to the General
Assembly no later than October 31, 1979; and be it further

RESOLVED, That the report to the General Assembly be
made in accordance with the provisions of Article 40,
Section 51 (d) , (e) , and (f) of the Annotated Code; and be it
further

RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution be sent to the
Honorable Harry Hughes, the Honorable Samuel W. Bogley, the
Honorable Louis L. Goldstein, the Honorable Benjamin L.
Cardin, the Honorable James Clark, Jr., and the Honorable
Theodore E. Thornton, 5r., Secretary of Personnel.

A Senate Joint Resolution concerning

Task Force on Documents

FOR the purpose of requesting the Governor to create a Task
Force to study and evaluate the system of collecting,
distributing, and making accessible various State and
local government publications and reports; and
suggesting the composition of the Task Force.

WHEREAS, The General Assembly recognizes the necessity
of providing better citizen access to publications and
reports generated by State and local government agencies;
and

WHEREAS, The existing statutory authority for the
distribution of government publications is inadequate to
assure widespread access to much of the printed information
produced by our governmental units; and

WHEREAS, There is a great need to improve the
acquisition, distribution, and preservation of these State
and local documents by libraries, archives, and government
agencies; and
