36.09.00.07 Peabody Grant

To be added as a new program
immediately following line
9908 on page 147 of the
printed bill, to provide
funds for a grant to the
Peabody Institute of the
City of Baltimore and in
compliance with the
provisions of Section 28,
Article 19, The Annotated
Code of Maryland, 1979
Cumulative Supplement. This
appropriation expresses the
intent of the General
Assembly that grants in the
amount of $900,000 should be

included in the budget for

fiscal year 1982 and fiscal
year 1983. This initial
grant shall be made by the

State on July 1, 1980.

Provided further, that if

the Peabody Institute has

presented to the Board of

Public Works and the General
Assembly evidence of having
raised by cash or pledge new

endowment funds of

$1,000,000 by December 31,
