(D) THE WARDEN OR SUPERINTENDENT OF EACH INSTITUTION,
OR A DESIGNEE OF THE WARDEN OR SUPERINTENDENT MAY ISSUE
RETAKE WARRANTS FOR THE APPREHENSION AND RETURN OF ESCAPEES.

(1)  A COPY OF THE RETAKE WARRANT SHALL BE
FORWARDED TO THE OFFICE OF THE STATE'S ATTORNEY IN THE
COUNTY FROM WHICH THE ESCAPE WAS MADE.

(2)  ANY SHERIFF OR POLICE OFFICER AUTHORIZED TO
SERVE CRIMINAL PROCESS, TO WHOM A WARRANT FOR THE RETAKING
OF AN ESCAPEE SHALL BE DELIVERED, IS AUTHORIZED AND REQUIRED
TO EXECUTE SUCH WARRANT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE DIRECTIONS
CONTAINED THEREIN. A SHERIFF OR POLICE OFFICER MAKING AN
ARREST UNDER THIS SECTION SHALL PROMPTLY NOTIFY THE DIVISION
OF CORRECTION OF THE ARREST.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1981.

AN ACT concerning

Election Code - Election Reports and Statements

FOR the purpose of authorizing the State Administrator of
Election Laws, with the ratification of the State
Administration Board of Election Laws, to excuse for
just cause a candidate's failure to timely file a
report or statement or to pay a late filing fee;
requiring the State Administrator's decision to excuse
or not excuse to be in writing and to set forth certain
circumstances and reasons for the decision; and
permitting the decision to be made without notice or

hearing; and providing that the decision is not

reviewable.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
