       Maryland Prince Georges County sc.t

               I hereby Certify that the Bearer hereof
       a Black woman by the name of Lucy
       who calls herself Lucy Thomas having
       a large flesh mark (natural) on her
       Breast about three Inches long is a
       free woman and became entitled to her
       freedom by virtue of a Deed of manumission
       from Hezekiah Wheeler bearing
       date the thirtieth day of July Eighteen
       Hundred and five and duly acknowledged
       Executed & Recorded in
       Prince Georges County Court

                   In testimony whereof I have
                   hereunto set my hand and affixed
       (seal)    the seal of Prince Georges County
                   Court this 18.th day of September
                   1819
