               I hereby certify that hereof Negro Polly (otherwise called
       Mary Miles) the bearer hereof a black woman about fifty
       five years of age five feet one and a half inches high has
       very small Ears has no perceivable marks or scars that the
       said Mary Miles is a free woman and was ten feet and and the four
       by Samuel Snowden as per manumission duly recorded in
       my office the twenty seventh day of September seventeen
       hundred and Eighty four
