            I hereby certify that Milley Carr a
       bright mulatto Girl about twenty years of
       age five feet three inches and an half high
       (having several scars on the left arm) is a
       free woman; being the Reputed Daughter of
       Nancy Carr a free woman of colour

                Given under my hand and seal of office
                this twenty fifth day of September in the
                year eighteen hundred and sixteen
