            I hereby certify that the bearer hereof
       a negro Boy named Charles Allen tolerably
       Black four feet high about eight years
       old having a flat nose and woolly hair
       no perceivable Scars is a free Boy being
       the reputed Son Ninny Allen a free woman
       of Colour who was born free and raised in
       Prince Georges County aforesaid

                      Given under my hand and
