GENERAL REVISOR'S NOTE:

Former Art. 75 1/2, § 18(c), which related to the duty of
duly constituted officers to enforce the provisions of former
Art. 75 1/2 and to prosecute any person violating former Art. 75
1/2, is deleted in light of Art. 10, § 34 of the Code, which
provides generally for the statutory duties of a State's
Attorney.

The first sentence of former Art. 75 1/2, § 18(d), which
required the Attorney General to provide legal services to the
Board, is deleted as unnecessary in light of SG § 6-106 and Art.
41, § 8-103 of the Code.

Former Art. 75 1/2, § 19(1), which provided that former Art.
75 1/2 did not prevent or affect the practice of any other
legally recognized profession or trade, is deleted as an
unnecessary statement of the obvious.

Former Art. 75 1/2, § 20, which provided for the
severability of the provisions of former Art. 75 1/2, is deleted
as unnecessary in light of Art. 1, § 23 of the Code.

15-101. DEFINITIONS.

(A)  IN GENERAL.

IN THIS TITLE THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE THE MEANINGS
INDICATED.

(B)  BOARD.

"BOARD" MEANS THE STATE BOARD FOR PROFESSIONAL LAND
SURVEYORS.

The name of the Board is conformed to the substantive
provision that creates the Board. See the revisor's
note to § 15-201 of this title.
