it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the
bearer hereof named Sarah Stewart aged about
thirty seven years about five feet two and a quarter
inches high black complexion has a small scar on
the back of the left hand, was free born, and
that she was raised in the County aforesaid

Recorded the 26 April 1853

State of Maryland    Anne Arundel County to wit

    I Nicholas H Green Clerk of the Circuit Court for Anne
Arundel County do hereby Certify that it hath been
proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof named
Ann Young aged about twenty five years about four
feet ten and a quarter inches high Yellow Complexion
has no perceptible marks was free born and that
she was raised in the County aforesaid
                Issued the 27 day of May 1853

State of Maryland    Anne Arundel County to wit

    I Nicholas H Green Clerk of the Circuit Court for Anne
Arundel County do hereby Certify that it hath been
proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof named
Ann Handy aged about twenty Seven years about five
feet one inch high Brown Complexion has no perceptible
marks is the identical person Set free
by George W Mason by deed of manumission dated
the twenty Seventh day of may in the year Eighteen
hundred and fifty three and that she was
raised in the County aforesaid
                Issued the 27 day of May 1853
