named Robert Stepney aged about forty one years about five
feet three inches high black complexion has a scar on the left
side of the face is one of the children of negro Charity
manumitted by Stephen Boone by deed dated the 17th day of November
1815 which said issue of the said negro charity was to be free
at the age of thirty five years and that the said negro Robert
is above that age and that he was raised in the County
aforesaid
             Issued the 19th day of May 1856

State of Maryland  Anne Arundel County to wit  I Nicholas
H. Green Clerk of the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County do
hereby Certify that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the
bearer hereof named Eliza Ann Stepney aged about thirty nine
years about four feet eleven and a quarter inches high black
Complexion has a scar on the chin is one of the children of negro
Charity manumitted by Stephen Boone by deed dated the 17th day of
November 1815 which said issue of the said negro Charity
was to be free at the age of thirty five years and that the said
negro Eliza Ann Stepney is above that age and that she
was raised in the County aforesaid
             Issued the 19th day of May 1856
