Anne Arundel County Court Certificates of Freedom, 1810-1831

        Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
                      I hereby Certify to all whom it doth
or may concern that it hath been proved to
my satisfaction that the bearer hereof named
James Price aged about Eighteen years about
five feet Eight Inches high, brown Complexion
a small scar on the left arm was free born,
was raised in the County aforesaid
           Issued the 2d day of July 1821

Ren.d 26 May 1825
    this Certe having been lost ce


    Maryland Anne Arundel County sc  I hereby
Certify to all whom it doth or may Concern
that it hath been proved to my satisfaction
that the bearer hereof a negro man named
John Queen aged about twenty two years
about five feet seven Inches high dark
Complexion has ^two^ large scars on his right
leg just below the knee, and a small
scar on the back of the left hand, was
free born and raised in the County aforesaid
       Issued the 224th day of July 1821


    Maryland Anne Arundel County sc  I hereby
Certify to all whom it doth or may concern that
it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the
bearer hereof a negro man named Joshua Jenkins
aged about forty years about five feet Eight
Inches high black Complexion has a small scar
on the left arm is the Identical person manumitted
by George Wells by deed dated the twenty fifth day
of July in the year of our Lord 1821, and was
raised in the County aforesaid
           Issued the 21st day of August 1821
