Anne Arundel County Court Certificates of Freedom, 1810-1831

right ear is one of the persons manumitted by
Sarah Riggs by deed dated the Eighteenth day of
may in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred
and fourteen and that she was raised in the
County aforesaid
          Issued the 16th day of January 1822


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
               I hereby Certify to all whom it doth or may
concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction
that the bearer hereof a mulatto woman named
Maria aged about Eighteen years about five
feet one and an half Inches high bright
Complexion a scar upon the back of the right
hand is one of the persons manumitted by
Sarah Riggs by deed dated the Eighteenth day
of may in the year of our Lord one thousand
Eight hundred and fourteen and that she
was raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 16th day of January 1822


Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
    I hereby Certify to all whom it doth or may
Concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction
that the bearer hereof a mulatto woman named
Caroline aged about sixteen years about four
feet Eleven Inches and an half Inches high
bright Complexion a small scar upon each
of her cheeks and another upon the right wrist
is one of the persons manumitted by Sarah Riggs
by deed dated the Eighteenth day of may in the year
of our Lord Eighteen hundred and fourteen and
that she was raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 16th day of January 1822
