brown Complexion no perceptible mark, was free born and raised in the County aforesaid Issued the 19.th day of march 1823 Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit I hereby Certify to all whom it doth or may Concern That it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro woman named Kitty Prout aged about thirty three years about five feet two Inches high black complexion a small scar on the right hand near the thumb is one of the persons manumitted by Eliza Hood by Deed dated the nineteenth day of march Eighteen hundred and twenty three and that she was raised in the County aforesaid Issued the 20th day of March 1823 Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit I hereby certify to all whom it doth or may concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro woman named Hester (calling herself Hester Allen) aged about thirty one inches years about five feet five Inches high black Complexion has a scar on the right wrist and a small scar under the right Eye is one of the persons manumitted by Hester and Elizabeth Hood by Deed dated the second day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and twenty two; and that she was raised in the County aforesaid Issued the 20 day of March 1823 Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit I hereby certify to all whom it doth or may Concern That it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro woman named Darkey (calling Darkey Young) aged about twenty three (years ) |
