Anne Arundel County Court Certificates of Freedom, 1810-1831

    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I hereby Certify to all whom it doth or
may concern that it hath been proved to my
satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro woman
named Harriett aged about twenty five years
about five feet three and an half Inches high
black Complexion no perceptible mark, is the
Identical person manumitted by Allen
Quynn by deed dated the sixteenth day of
November one thousand seven hundred and
ninety nine, and that she was raised in the
County aforesaid
    Issued the 17th day of september 1823


    Maryland, Anne Arundel County to wit
              I hereby Certify to all whom it doth
or may concern, that it hath been proved to
my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a
negro woman named Lukey aged about
forty years about five feet three Inches high of
dark Complexion a scar on her breast and
a small one on her left hand is the Identical
person manumitted by Nathaniel Chew by
deed dated the thirteenth day of September
eighteen hundred and twenty three, and that
she was raised in the County aforesaid
    Issued the 18th day of September 1823


    Maryland Anne Arundel County to wit
              I hereby Certify to all whom it
doth or may concern that it hath been proved
to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a
negro man named Charles Calvert aged
Forty three about five feet four Inches
