one of the persons manumitted by Peter Shorter by deed dated the twentieth day of July in the year one thousand Eight hundred and twenty two, and that she was raised in the County aforesaid Issued the 27 day of august 1823 Maryland Anne Arundel County sc I hereby Certify to all whom it doth or may concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro man named Peter aged about twenty one years about five feet six Inches high, black complexion no particular mark or scar, has six toes on his left foot is one of the persons manumitted by Ann Jenifer Executrix of Joseph Jenifer by deed dated the twenty first day of may in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and nineteen, and that he was raised in the County aforesaid Issued the 7th day of september 1823 Maryland; Anne Arundel County to wit I hereby Certify to all whom it doth or may concern that it hath been proved to my satisfaction that the bearer hereof a negro man named Joseph aged about twenty four years about five feet Eight Inches high brown Complexion has a scar on the inner part of the left leg a little above the ancle is one of the persons manumitted by Charles Hammond of Charles by deed dated the seventh day of may in the year Eighteen hundred and two that his freedom Commenced in the year Eighteen hundred and Eighteen, and that he was raised in the County aforesaid Issued the 10th day of september 1823 |
