Anne Arundel County Sct   On this eighth day of September
1853 personally appears John Ridout party ^to^ the aforegoing
Instrument of writing before me the subscriber a Justice
of the Peace of the state of Maryland and for said County
and acknowledges the same to be his act and deed for the
purposes therein mentioned and the negro woman therein
named to be henceforth manumitted and discharged from
all manner and to be free and manumitted according to the
acts of Assembly in such cases made and provided

To all whom it may concern be it Known that I Ann E
Bourk of Anne Arundel County in the state of Maryland
for divers good causes and considerations me thereunto moving
have released from slavery liberated manumitted and set free
and by these presents do hereby release from slavery liberate
manumit and set free the following negro slaves at the
respective ages herein named. That is to say my negro Girl
Mary now seventeen years of age to be free at the age of
thirty eight and her issue or increase to be free at the age
of thirty if males and twenty five if females my negro
woman Hester now twenty eight years of age to be free
at the age of thirty eight and her future issue or increase
to be free at the age of thirty if males and twenty five if
females my negro Boy Franklin son of Hester now ten
years of age to be free at the age of thirty my negro Boy Lewis
Henry son of Hester to be free at the age of thirty he is now
three years old my negro Girl Sidney now five years of
age to be free at twenty five and her increase or issue
to be free at thirty if males and twenty five if females
And I do declare the aforesaid negro slaves & their increase
or issue at the ages respectively mentioned free manumitted
