We are OPEN the following Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Please note that we are closed during the lunch hour (from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.) and all other Saturdays.
Hours of Operation
Request an appointment
so that our staff can best assist you. Appointments are strongly
encouraged. Benefits include: no wait time for help or for a
workspace, ability to quickly ask an Archivist any questions, and
most importantly a guarantee that your record will be on site.
Visitors may also walk-in without an appointment.

- Sunday: Closed
- Monday: Closed (Note: We are still available by phone or email on Mondays unless it is a holiday ~ see holiday schedule below for closures.)
- Tuesday: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- Wednesday: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- Thursday: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- Friday: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Record Retrieval Schedule
Scheduled times during the day when records will be pulled from the stacks.

IMPORTANT: Please note that many modern court records and some genealogical records are stored off-site and must be retrieved prior to the day of your visit. Records located off-site must be requested seven to ten business days before your visit by emailing us at msa.helpdesk@maryland.gov using "Court Records" as your subject heading.
