a List of the Recruits, by whom inlisted and the Cloathing
furnished them and by whom, and we shall be obliged to you
for such a List, of those for your Regiment.
We are &ca

P. S. The Names of the Recruits and the Places of their
Inlistment, will be necessary, as well Account of the promised
Bounty of Land, as for many other Reasons.
Colo Gist

[Council to G. Keeports.]

In Council Annapolis 11th April 1778
Sir
From Colo Gist's Letter, informing us that Colo Smith has
taken 80 of the 100 Blankets sent you, compared with yours,

mention that Colo Gist and Colo Smith's talking of sewing two
Blankets together to serve for one, we suspect the Delivery
has been of two for each Recruit: if so you must consider
that Delivery as without Orders, and we expect the Number
delivered beyond the Number of Recruits, will be returned
We wish to deal equally by all. The Number of Blankets
we have, or can get, will not supply each with one. We are
sorry for the Necessity of it, but we request that you will not
deliver to any Officer, any further Quantity of Cloathing, than
he then has Recruits ready for it, and such as have not been
before supplied. We are Sir &ca
Capt Geo. Keeports.

[Council to Gist.]

In Council Annapolis 11th Apl 1778.
Sir
Mr Lux offers us 6 ps blue, 2 ps Scarlet, 1 ps Green and 1
ps light Cloth containing each about 20 yards at £5.10 pr
yard. One of the Pieces of Scarlet he mentions is a little
stained, though, he expects, not within the first Fold. We
are desirous of procuring a Suit for each of our Officers at
Camp, and request you'll take the Trouble to look at the Cloth
and if you think it will suit the Purpose and be satisfactory to the

Gentlemen, we shall be obliged to you to receive it, have it
packed up securely, and sent, with your Recruits, to Wil-
mington, to be delivered to Mr. John Randall, who does this
Kind of Business for us there; We inclose you Samples of
the Cloth. If you think we can do better, be pleased to advise
us of it. We are Sir &ca
