In Council Annapolis 14th April 1778.
Sir.

Recruits to Colo James Brice Lieutent of this County, to be
passed, Part of those he, about that Time, brought over from
Dorchester where; we believe, he had inlisted them. The
Proceeding was not altogether so regular as we wished it, but,
thinking it not worth while to send them back for a mere For-
mality, we advised Colo Brice to pass them, if, on examination

Birch, John Bandy, Ruben Moore, William Cantwell, William
Beaver, Thomas Bucklar, Peter Cahoon and William Gould, in
all eight, of which we think it right to give you this Informa-
tion, to prevent your County being charged with an over Pro-
portion.
