We are approaching the closing moments of this

historic convention, and before we reach the hour of

adjournment sine die, I respectfully request your indulgence

for a few minutes, as I would like to leave a few thoughts

with you before we depart for our respective homes later

The signing of this Constitution signals the end

of four months of careful thought and deliberation by 142

men and women representing the people of Maryland. As the
