Mr. Frazier, (Mr. Markey in the chair) submitted the fol-
lowing amendment:
Amend by striking out all between the word "power" in
the third line and the word "is" in the fourth line, and in-
sert the words "in any other manner, than that pointed out
in the Constitution."
Pending the consideration of which,
On motion of Mr. Foster,
The resolutions were laid on the table.
The bill entitled, an Act to incorporate the Crumpton and
Long Marsh Turnpike Company;
Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.
