referred House bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money to pay the claims of W. H. Tuck, John L. Smith, Jos.
Phelps, Daniel Caulk, George W. Sands, George W. Mur-
dock, Thos. J. Duvall and others, reported it without amend-
ment. Said bill was then read the second time. Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, to whom was
referred House bill entitled an Act to repeal all those sections
of Article 4, of the Public Local Laws for the City of Balti-
more, title "Inspections," from section 272 to 567 ; also, the
following Acts supplementary and amendatory thereof, to wit:
the Act of 1861, chapter 35, Acts of 1862, chapters 116, 199,
254 and 283, Acts of 1864, chapters 189, 328, 339, 346, 369
and 384, Acts of 1865, chapters 6, 165, 192 and 194, Acts of
1867, chapters 148, 241, 368 and 381, and the Acts of 1868,
chapters 128, 295 and 458, except sections 410 to 423 inclu-
sive, and sections 458 to 470, all inclusive, reported it with-
out amendment. Said bill was then read the second time. Mr. Henkle, from the Select Committee, to whom was
referred House bill entitled an Act to repeal chapter 367 of
1868, entitled an Act to authorize the County Commissioners
of Anne Arundel county to subscribe in behalf of said county
to the capital stock of the Baltimore and Drum Point Bail-
road Company, to issue bonds for the same, and provide for
their redemption, and to re-enact the same with amendments,
reported it without amendments. Said bill was then read the second time. Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, to whom was
referred House bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money to pay the claim of James Bullock, reported it with-
out amendment. Said bill was then read the second time.
