Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That the directors
shall have power to elect from their own number a
vice-president, who shall possess such power and
perform such duties as may he provided by the by-
laws of the Company, and shall receive such com-
pensation as may be provided by the Board of Di-
rectors, or by a majority of them. The first elec-
tion of a vice-president may be made at any regu-
lar meeting of the Board of Directors hereafter,
and the said vice-president so elected shall con-
tinue in office until the next annual election of a
president, and until his successor is elected, at
which time, and annually thereafter, a vice-presi-
dent may be elected for the same time and in the
same manner as the president.

Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That all Acts or
parts of Acts relating to the People's Gas Com-
pany of Baltimore, inconsistent with this Act, be
and the same are hereby repealed, and the original
Act, to which this is a supplement, is hereby re-
affirmed.

Sec. 5. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 53.
AN ACT to authorize, empower and require Wil-
liam Stewart, administrator and trustee to sell
the real estate of Isaac Stewart, late of Somer-
set County, deceased, under a decree of the Or-
phan's Court for Somerset County, to pay over
the balance in his hands as administrator and
trustee aforesaid, after satisfying all just debts
of the said Isaac Stewart, including costs of ad-
ministration and trustee's commissions, to Anne
Stewart.
WHEREAS, Isaac Stewart, colored, late of Som-
Somerset County, died intestate, without leaving
any legal representatives, but leaving surviving
