CHAPTER 66.

AN ACT to add an additional Section to an Act
passed December Session, eighteen hundred and
forty-nine, Chapter three hundred and seventy-
seven, entitled "An Act to incorporate a com-
pany to make a Turnpike Road from Williams-
port, in Washington County, to the Pennsylva-
nia line, in the direction of Greencastle, in
Franklin County, State of Pennsylvania."

Additional
section.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the following Section be added
to the Act passed December Session, eighteen hun-
dred and forty-nine, Chapter three hundred and
seventy-seven, entitled "An Act to incorporate a
company to make a Turnpike Road from Wil-
liamsport, in Washington County, to the Pennsyl-
vania line, in the direction of Greeencastle, in
Franklin County, State of Pennsylvania."

Non resident
stockholders.

Sec. 10. And be it, enacted, That the executors
or administrators of a deceased non-resident stock-
holder in the Williamsport and Greencastle Turn-
pike Road Company, be and they are hereby au-
thorized and empowered to transfer any and all
stock in said Company which may stand in the
name of their testator or intestate without first
having taken out letters of administration or tes-

tamentary in this State; provided, that notice be
given in one or more newspapers published in
Washington County, at least two weeks next pre-
ceding the time of making the transfer; and pro-
vided further, that before the secretary of the said
Company shall allow such transfer to be made on
the books of the said Company, the executors or
administrators, as aforesaid, shall exhibit to him
an exemplified copy of his letters testamentary or
of administration.

Take effect.

Sec 2. And be it enacted, That as soon as the
President and managers of the said Company shall
assent to the provisions of this Act, the same shall
become and be considered as a part of the original
Act.
