CHAPTER 81.
AN ACT to amend an Act entitled "An Act to
incorporte the Parkton and Manchester Railroad
Company," passed the January Session A. D.
eighteen hundred and sixty-eight.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the President and Directors of
the Parkton and Manchester Railroad Company,
or a majority of them, be and they are hereby au-
|

Issue bonds.

thorized and empowered to issue the bonds of the
said Company to an amount not exceeding the sum
of two hundred thousand dollars, ($200,000,) in
denominations of one hundred, five hundred and
one thousand dollars each, payable on the first day
of January A. D. eighteen hundred and ninety,

Interest.
|
bearing an interest of six per centum per annum,
payable semi-annually, on presentation of interest
coupons, to he issued with the bonds, and convert-
ible atthe option of the holders thereof into thecapi-
tal stock of said Company at the par value thereof,
and to secure the payment of the principal and in-
terest of said bonds by a mortgage covering all the
road of said Company constructed and to be con-
structed, its machinery and rolling stock acquired
and to be acquired, and all its net revenues and
tolls.

Authorized to
construct.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Com-
pany be and the same are hereby authorized and
empowered to construct and maintain its Railroad
to any point on the Western Maryland Railroad,
or the line of the Railroad now in course of con-
struction from the city of Frederick to Littlestown
in the State of Pennsylvania.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
