1870.] OF THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES, 91

Meeting House on the Public Grounds in Chestertown, in
Kent county passed at November session, eighteen hundred
and one, chapter 37.

On motion of Mr. Hardcastle, of Caroline,

Leave was granted to the Caroline delegation, and
Mr. Brown, of Queen Anne's, to introduce a bill to divide
Election District No. 1, in Caroline county, into two Election
Districts.

On motion of Mr. Cameron,

Leave was granted to the Baltimore county delegation to in-
troduce a bill to authorize the County Commissioners, of
Baltimore county, to appoint one additional Constable in the
Fifth District of said county.

On motion of Mr. Murdock,

Leave was granted to the Washington county delegation to
introduce a bill to give the Commissioners of Washington
county additional power to appoint a Collector of Taxes in
each Election District, in said county.

On motion of Mr. Blake,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to re-
port a bill to add an addition to Article 24, section 25, Public
General Laws, relating to Conveyancing.

On motiou of Mr. Hammond,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to introduce
a bill to pay Jno. L. Smith, of Talbot county, a sum of
money erroneously paid into the Treasury,

On motion of Mr. Hardcastle, of Talbot,

Leave was granted to Messrs, Hammond and Brown, of
Queen Anne's, to introduce a bill to incorporate the Conven-
tion of the Protestant Episcopal Church, in the Diocese of
Easton.

On motion of Mr. Marbury,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill to make valid the last will and ttatament of
John Carroll, of Prince George's county, conveying certain
property to the Catholic Church.

On motion of Mr. McCreery,

Leave was granted to the Frederick county delegation to
report a bill to amend the Charter of the Frederick and
Emmittsburg Railroad.

On motion of Mr. Turner,
