Captains of Military Companies from liability, for the non-
return of uniforms in certain specified cases,
Being on its second reading,
Mr. Carroll submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Section 1, line 4, after the word "enlistment," insert "of
three years."
Which was adopted.
Said bill, as amended, was ordered to be engrossed for a
-third reading.
Mr. Tuck, from the Joint Committee of Conference, sub-
mitted the following
REPORT.
The undersigned, the committee of Conference, appointed
to consider the amendments proposed by the Senate to House
bill entitled an Act to repeal section 2, of Article LXIV. of
the Code of Public General Laws, relating to "Mortgages,"
and to re-enact these with amendments, respectfully re-
port, that we have taken into consideration said proposed
amendments, and recommend that the House of Delegates
accede to the amendments proposed by the Senate, and pass
the bill as amended.

eral Jaws, title "Licenses," sub-title "Billiards'
Was read the second time, and refused to be engrossed by
a tie vote.
The Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money to erect a monument over the remains of Thomas G
Pratt,
Being on its second reading,
Mr. Tuck moved to fill the first blank with "$1,000 dol-
lars," and the second blank with the names of "Oden Bowie
James T. Earle and Frederick Stone.
