Blake, Miller, Fields, Stephenson—4 NEGATIVE. Messrs. President, Henry, Compton, Spates, Carroll, Spencer, Claggett, Steiner, Denson, Timmons, Downs, Tuck, Dennis, Wilson, Earle, Williams—16. Mr Fields moved to postpone further consideration of said. bill until to-morrow, at 12 o'clock. Which was rejected. Said bill was then read the second time and ordered to be1 engrossed for a third reading. The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and delivered The House bill entitled an Act to amend the Coda of Pub- lic Local Laws, title "Queen Anne's County," by adding thereto additional sections, authorizing the qualified voters. of Kent Island District No 4, of said county, to determine by ballot whether spirituous or fermented liquors shall be sold, within the limits of said election district. Which was read the first time and referred to Messrs. Earle, Spencer and Williams. Also, The House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 12, of Ar- ticle X.XVIII , of the Code of Public General Laws, title "County Commissioners," and to re-enact the same. Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee on Judicial Proceedings. Also, The House bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Commissioners of Washington county, to borrow money on the credit of the county for the purpose of erecting a new Court House, and to issue bonds for the payment of the- same. Which was read the first time and referred to Messrs. Claggett, Stephenson and Crawford. |
