The House bill entitled an Act to add an additional section
to Article XXVII., of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Costs," and to be section 11 of said Article.
Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Judicial Proceedings.
The following Senate bills having passed both Branches of
the General Assembly of Maryland, were this day presented
to His Excellency, the Governor, for his approval:
An Act to protect fish in the waters of Nanticoke river
from non-residents.
An Act to repeal section 161, of Article XXI., of the Public1"
Local Laws, title "Washington County," sub-title "Han-
cock," and to re-enact the same with amendments, and to
add sub-sections thereto.
An Act to add additional sections to Article LXXXL, of
the Code of Public General Laws of this State, title "Rev-
enue and Taxes," under the sub-title " National Banks."
The Hon. J. T. Mason, having appeared and delivered a
commission from His Excellency, Governor Whyte,
On motion by Mr. Steiner,
The Senate proceeded to Executive session.
Having resumed Legislative business,
On motion by Mr. Williams,
The Senate adjourned, to meet at 8 o'clock this evening.
EVENING SESSION.
THURSDAY, EVENING—8 o'clock P. M.
The Senate met.
Present the following Senators:
Messrs. President, Blake, Carroll, Crawford, Claggett,
Denson, Downs, Earle, Fields, Henry, Jump, Longwell, Mil-
ler, Stephenson, Spates, Sellman, Spencer, Steiner, Tim-
mons, Tuck, Wilson, Williams—22.
The Senate bill entitled an Act to amend section 21, of
Article VII., of the Code of Public Local Laws for Carroll
county, by adding a sub-section thereto,
