President, Henry, Blake, Jump, Compton, Longwell, Carroll, Stephenson, Crawford, Spates, Claggett, Sellman, Denson, Steiner, Downs, Timmons, Dennis, Tuck, Earle, Wilson, Fields, Williams—22. NEGATIVE—None. Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates. The Senate hill entitled an Act to tax the gross receipts of Railroad Companies in this State, for State purposes, Being on its third reading, Mr. Carroll moved a call of the Senate, when the follow- ing Senators responded: Messrs. President, Blake, Compton, Carroll, Crawford, Claggett, Denson, Downs, Dennis, Earle, Fields, Henry, Jump, Longwell, Stephenson, Spates, Sellman, Steiner, Tim- mons, Tuck, Wilson, Williams—22. The Sergeant at Arms was sent to notify absent members that their presence was required in the Senate. On motion by Mr. Carroll, Further proceedings under the call were dispensed with.
