The following Senate bills having passed both Branches of
the General Assembly of Maryland, were this day presented
to his Excellency, the Governor, for his approval:
An Act lor the better regulation of public roads in Wicomico county.
An Act to provide for the defence of the Officers of Regis-
tration, Judges of Election, and others.
An Act to incorporate the Queen City Savings' Bank, of
Cumberland, Maryland.
An Act ceding to the United States of America jurisdic-
tion over the land contained within the enclosures of the Na-
tional Cemetery, near Annapolis.
An Act to incorporate the town of Union Bridge, in Carroll county.
An Act to repeal sections 43, 44, 46 and 73, of Article X.,
of the Code of Public Laws of Maryland, relating to the town
of Cambridge, in Dorchester county, and to re-enact the
same in an amended form.
An Act to authorize the Town Commissioners of Newtown,
to endorse the bonds of the Worcester and Somerset Railroad
Company to the amount of five thousand dollars.
The House bill entitled an Act to authorize the issuing of
licenses to Telegraph. Companies and. Express Companies,
Being on a third reading,
