Section 10, line 2, strike out "agent" and insert ' cashier or other principal officer or agent." Which were severally read and adopted. Mr. Stephenson submitted the following : Sec. 11. And be it enacted, That the charter and all other authority by which any Telegraph Company now, or which may hereafter be erected in this State, is authorized to do the business of telegraphing, shall be recorded in the Clerk's office of the Circuit Courts of the several counties in which a tele- graph line or lines may be erected, and all sales, transfers and assignments of any and every telegraph standing or erected in this State, shall be recorded within sixty days after the sale, transfer or assignment is made, in the same manner and place or places as their charter and other authority are re- quired by this Act to be recorded; and any failure, neglect or refusal to comply with the requirements of this section by any Telegraph Company doing telegraph business in this State, shall debar such Company from any and all action at law for any injury or damage done to any poles or wires, erected in or set up in this State. Sec. 12. And be it enacted, That no plea of limitation shall be valid and of effect in any Court of law in this State, in bar to any trespass or damage committed by any Telegraph Company in erecting a telegraph, until three years after their charter, and all authority they may claim to have for erecting telegraph line or lines through this State, shall have been recorded as required by section 1 of this Act; and they shall also exhibit and keep exhibited in some prominent and convenient place in each office of business of said Compa- nies, for the inspection of persons having business with said Companies, the charter and all other authority by which said Telegraph Companies are authorized to erect lines of telegraph in this State.
