third part of his estate, real, personal and mixed, to'
the Young Catholic's Friend Society of the City of
Baltimore, for the purpose of establishing a Children's
Aid Society; mid whereas, doubts may exist as to the
vesting of said estate in said society, and in order to
give validity to said bequest, and to carry out the
charitable design of said Reverend James Dolan, as
expressed in his said will.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the devise and bequest of Reverend.
James Dolan, of the one-third part of his estate, real
personal and mixed, as also the specific devise of a
house and lot on Gough street, to the Young Cath-
olic's Friend Society, for the purpose expressed in his-
last will and testament, is hereby confirmed, and the
said society is hereby authorized to hold the same
for the said purpose.
SEC. 2. Be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 22.
AN ACT granting the assent of the General As-
sembly of Maryland to a bequest made in the last
will and testament of Elijah Bishop, late of Har-
ford county, deceased, to William F. Brand, as
Trustee, directing him to expend part of said
bequest in the completion or adornment of St.
Mary's Church, Protestant, Episcopal, of Harford-
county.
WHEREAS, Elijah Bishop, late of Harford county,.
deceased, by his last will and testament, bearing-
date November second, in the year A. D., eighteen'
hundred and seventy, and recorded in the office of
the Register of Wills for Harford county, bequeathed
