'the residue of his estate, after paying certain legacies
therein mentioned, to William F. Brand, as Trustee,
to be expended for the completion or adornment of
St. Mary's Church, Protestant Episcopal, in Harford
county, therefore,
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by tin' General Assembly of
Maryland, That assent is hereby given to carry into
effect the bequest in the last will and testament of
Elijah Bishop, late of Harford county, deceased, in
favor of William F, Brand, Trustee, for the comple-
tion or adornment of St Mary's Church, Protestant
Episcopal, in Harford county.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said William
F. Brand, Trustee as aforesaid, be and he is hereby
authorized and empowered to receive from the Ex-
ecutor of said deceased, such sum of money as may
he agreed upon between the aforesaid Trustee and
the Executor of said deceased, in full payment and
satisfaction of said bequest, and that the release of
said Trustee to said Executor, after the payment of
said sum agreed upon, shall be a full release of said
request.
SEC.- 3. And be It enacted. That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 23.
AN ACT to repeal section two hundred and fifteen,
of article four, of the Code of Public Local Laws,
title, " City of Baltimore, sub-title elections," and
enact the following in lieu thereof:
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That section two hundred and fifteen, of
article four, of the Public Local Laws, entitled
