judiciary.
LAWS OF MARYLAND.
support of the Government for the year to end Janu-
ary first, eighteen hundred and seventy-three, as-
represented by the several accounts herein named,
be and the same are hereby appropriated; that is to'
say:
FOR STATE OFFICERS.
For the salary of the Governor of Maryland, four
thousand five hundred dollars; for the salary of the
Secretary of State, two thousand dollars; for the
salary of the Comptroller of the Treasury Depart-
ment, two thousand five hundred dollars; for the
salary of the Chief Clerk to the Comptroller, sixteen
hundred dollars; for the salaries of the three assis-
tant clerks to the Comptroller, twelve hundred dol-
lars each, thirty-six hundred dollars; for the salary
of the Treasurer of Maryland, two thousand five hun-
dred dollars; for the salary of the clerk to the Trea-
surer, sixteen hundred dollars; for the salary of the
State Librarian, fifteen hundred dollars; for the
salary of the Commissioner of the Land Office, fifteen'
hundred dollars..
JUDICIARY.
For the salaries of the Chief Judges of the first
seven Judicial Circuits, three thousand five hundred
dollars each, twenty-four thousand five hundred dol-
lars; for the salaries of fourteen Associate Judges of
the first seven Judicial Circuits, two thousand eight
hundred dollars each, thirty-nine thousand two hun-
dred dollars; for the Special Judge of the Court of
Appeals from Baltimore city, the Chief Judge, and
four Associate Judges of the Supreme Bench of Bal-
timore city, each three thousand five hundred dollars,
twenty-one thousand dollars; for the salary of the
Attorney General, three thousand dollars; for the
Commissions to State's Attorneys, two thousand
dollars, or as much thereof as may be necessary; to'
the Sheriff and Crier of the Court of Appeals, one
thousand dollars, or so much thereof as the Clerk of"
the Court of Appeals may certify Mm entitled to re-
ceive; for the salary of the State Reporter, one thou-
sand dollars.
