in addition to fees now allowed, be entitled to receive

|
the sum of one dollar for approving and filing bond
|
 
|
|
and other papers, and five per cent commisions on
|
 
|
|
all sums paid by him to said county commissioners,
|
 
|
|
said fees and commissions to be paid by applicants
|
 
|
|
for license, without deduction of the sum to be paid
|
 
|
|
to the county.
|
 
|
|
SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That it shall not be law-
|

ful for any person having a license to sell spirituous

or fermented liquors or lager beer in Harford county,
|
 
|
|
to permit any game of chance or skill, for profit or
|
 
|
|
amusement, to be played in the bar-room or other
|

public room on the premises occupied by him or
|
 
|
|
under his control, and if any person having such li-
|
 
|
|
cense shall violate this law, he shall upon conviction
|
 
|
|
be fined not less than fifty dollars nor more than one
|
 
|
|
hundred dollars, or be imprisoned in the county jail
|
 
|
|
not less than ten nor more than forty days, in the
|
 
|
|
discretion of the court, and his license shall there-
|
 
|
|
upon be suppressed.
|
 
|
|
SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That from and after the
|
 
|
|
passage of this act, it shall be the duty of the grand
|

jury in and for Harford county, at its several sessions

diligently to enquire into and present and indict all
|
 
|
|
persons violating any provisions of this act, and of
|
 
|
|
the license laws of this State, relating to the sale of
|
 
|
|
spirituous and fermented liquors and lager beer, and
|
 
|
|
upon conviction, in addition to any penalties inflicted
|
 
|
|
by said laws, it shall be the duty of the court, before
|
 
|
|
whom such person shall be convicted to suppress his
|
 
|
|
license, and the provisions of this section shall also
|
 
|
|
apply to any person or persons convicted of keeping
|
 
|
|
a disorderly house, who may have taken out an or-
|
 
|
|
dinary or oyster house license, or who shall uot have
|
 
|
|
on the premises immediately occupied by the person
|
 
|
|
taking out said license, the accommodation for both
|
 
|
|
man and beast required by the provisions contained
|
 
|
|
in article fifty-six of Public General Laws; and for
|
 
|
|
the period of one year after such suppression, no
