CHAPTER 372.

|
AN ACT to repeal sections thirty and sixty-seven,
|
|
|
of article eighty-one, of the Code of Public Gen-
|
|
|
eral Laws, in so far' as the same relate to Harford
|
|
|
county, and to re-enact the following sections in
|
|
|
lieu thereof, to apply to Harford county.
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
|
Repealed and
re-enacted.
|
Maryland, That sections thirty and sixty-seven, of
|
|
|
article eighty-one, of the Code of Public General
|
|
|
Laws, be and the same are hereby repealed, in so
|
|
|
far as the same relate to Harford county, and the
|
|
|
following sections to be numbered as thirty A, thirty
|
|
|
B, thirty G, thirty D. thirty E, and sixty-seven, be
|
|
|
and the same are hereby enacted in lieu thereof, to
|
|
|
apply to Harford county.

|
|
SECTION 30. A. The County Commissioners of
|
|
Let out the

Harford county shall, on or before the third Tuesday
|
|
collection.

in April, in each year, or as soon thereafter as may
|
|
|
be, let out the collection of State and county taxes
|
|
|
of said county, levied or to be levied for the current
|
|
|
year, to the lowest bidder or bidders therefor, having
|
|
|
in their judgment, good business qualification for
|
|
Proviso.
|
said office of collector; provided, that no bid be
|
|
|
received otherwise than by a per centum on the
|
|
|
amount of collections, as contemplated in said
|
|
|
article eighty-one, and not to exceed five per centum
|
|
|
of the collections.
|
|
|
SEC. 30. B. Any one bidding for the collection of
|
|
|
said taxes, may put in a bid or bids for or more of
|
|

the several election districts of said county; pro-

vided, however, that the second and sixth districts

of said county shall be considered as one collection

|
district, and no bid shall be received for said second
|
|

and sixth districts except for the two united.

SEC. 30. C. All persons bidding for said col-
|
|

lections, shall, at the time of so doing, file with said
|
|
bonds.

commissioners a good and sufficient bond or bonds,

|
|
for the respective district or districts, for which such
|
|
|
person may have bid for the collection of such bond
|
|
|
or bonds, as to the penal sum and conditions of the
