SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That the compen-

WHEREAS, James Stratton, late of Howard county,

departed this life at his residence in Howard county,

Maryland, on the ninth day of August, eighteen

and on the eighth day of September, eighteen hundred
and seventy-five, letters of administration were

granted, by the Orphans' Court of Howard county,

on the estate of said intestate, to J. Thomas Jones,

of Baltimore city, Edwin Linthicum and Charles

Bathgate, of Howard county; and

WHEREAS, the said intestate, so far as is known, left
