	SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That the compen-

	said, and keeping it in safe condition to accommodate
	public travel, shall be paid by the County Commis-
	sioners of Anne Arundel county, and the commis-
	sioners of said county are authorized to levy upon
	the assessable property of Anne Arundel county,
	such amounts as may be necessary from time to
	time to defray said cost.
	SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That this act shall take

	CHAPTER 377.
	AN ACT authorizing and directing the adminis-
	trators of James Stratton, late of Howard county,
	deceased, to pay over the surplus of the estate of
	said deceased to the Board of County School Com-
	missioners of Howard county, unless legal repre-
	sentatives shall appear.
	WHEREAS, James Stratton, late of Howard county,
	departed this life at his residence in Howard county,
	Maryland, on the ninth day of August, eighteen

	and on the eighth day of September, eighteen hundred and seventy-five, letters of administration were
	granted, by the Orphans' Court of Howard county,
	on the estate of said intestate, to J. Thomas Jones,
	of Baltimore city, Edwin Linthicum and Charles
	Bathgate, of Howard county; and
	WHEREAS, the said intestate, so far as is known, left
	no relations within the fifth degree, reckoning in the
Preamble.	mode provided by section one hundred and thirty-
	six, of article ninety-three of Maryland Code of Public
	General Laws; and
