King of England &c. And in the XIII. yeare of the Dom of the Right Honble. Charles, over Maryland &c. Annoq Domini 1687/8. Between William:Hearne and Katherine his wife of Somerset County & Province of Maryland, Planter, of the One part, and George Russel of the sd County and Province of the other part Wittnesseth. that whereas the Right Honoble.Lord Proprietory by his deed of grant under the great Seal of the said Province bearing date at St. Maries the first day of June in the tenth year of his dominion 1685, did grant unto the sd Wm: Hearne, a certain tract or percell of Land Called Yarmouth scituate lying and being on the Seaboard side back in the woods from the water, at a Ridge of Land between the sea side and Pocomoke River, begining at a marked white Oak being a Corner tree of A percel of Land called the Key, thence with a line drawn North east and by East Sixty two pearches to a marked white Oak being another Corner tree of the aforesaid land called the Key, thence with a line drawne south and by East two hundred fourty five pearches to a marked forked Red Oak standing on the East side of a marked Road, thence with a line drawn west two hundred thirty three pearches, And from thence with a line drawne to the first bounder, conteining two hundred acreas more or less, togeather with all the right profits, benifitts and priveledges thereunto belonging Royall mines excepted. to have and to hold the same, unto him the said William: Hearne his Heirs and Assigns forever under such Rents, covenants. Services & provisoes as in the said grant is mentioned and expressed, recourse being thereunto had, it doth more fully a more at large appear, Now know ye that I the said William: Hearne, and Katherine my wife, for divers good causes and Considerations us hereunto moving, but more espetially and perticuliarly for and in Consideration of six thousand five hundred pounds tob to us in hand paid by George Russell afored, the receit whereof we doe by these presents acknowlege and that thereby we are fully satisfied contented and paid & the(reof) and of every part & percel thereof, we the said Wm: Hearne and Katherine do hereby acquit, exonerate and discharge, the said George Russell his Heirs and Assigns for ever, have given granted bargained and Sold enfeoffed and confirmed, And by these presents, do give grant, bargain alien, Sell |
