( 110 ) Here in Court produced may appear And the Said Hannah Maynard having Administred the goods Credits & Chattels of ye Said James Maynard of this County lately deceased thereby being become in Law lyable to the payment of his debts of the sd James Maynard &ca. Nevertheless the said Hannah not regarding Law or equity but minding & fraudulently intending him the Said John: Tarr in this behalf Craftily & Subtily to defraud the sd 3600 pounds of tobacco to the Said to the Said John the Said Hannah hath not paid although the Said Hannah to do the Same by ye sd John hath been often requested but hath hitherto refused and doth Still refuse to the damage of the sd John. of 4200 pounds of tobacco & thereupon he brings his Sute &ca. Pirrie pr Quer pledg prsec &ca . {Jno Doe Rich Roe} mr Peter Dent Attorney for sd Hannah Maynard Confest judgment to the sd John: Tarr for two thousand Six hundred pounds of tobacco if Assetts And this Court Grants Order thereon the said Tarr paying his own fees . &ca
John Broughton this day Petioned the Worll Court that one Thomas Lipington a prson uncapable to gett his living might be Tax free which being Considered by their worps is granted & the said Thomas Tax free.
John: Stoukley this day Petioned the Worll Court for Order agt Hannah Maynard admrx of James Maynard for Two Thousand nine hundred pounds of tobacco which th Said Stoukley made appear to be justly due pr accot in Court whereupon - mr Peter Dent Attorney to the Said Maynard Confest judgmt for ye sd Sum of 2900 lbs of tobacco he the sd Stoukley allowing (in) discount what shall be due on sd Maynards book. And thereupon the Court grants Order for the Same with Cost &ca.

Wm Whittington. mr Matthew Scarbrough. mr John Bozman and mr Thomas Dixon to be their Delegates as aforesd. - - - - About a quarter of an hour before Sun Sett the Justices Sett in Court again, and adjourned till tomorrow at 8 a Clock // At a Court held by their Maties Justices of the Peace for the County of Somerset in the Province of Maryland the 16:th day of August in the 6th year of their Maties Reign ano Dom 1694 —
