              This Bill bindeth me Alexander Addison of Somerset County in the Province of Maryland Planter my Heirs Extors

                Admrs to pay or Cause to be paid unto John Cole of Accamack County in Virginia Innholder his Heirs Extors

                Admrs or Assigns ye full & just Sum of four hundred & Sixty pounds of Merchantable leaf tobacco & Caske Convenient

                in Accomack County on the Bay Side at or upon the 10th day of October next ensueing the date hereof And is for A

                Valuable Consideration in hand recd by me Alexander Addison of John:Cole & to the true performance of good paymt

Ellis: Coleman. Plt.                Peter Bodkin late of Somerset County was attached to answer unto Ellis Coleman of a Plea

Peter Bodkin Dft }                    of Trespas on the Case — And whereupon the Said Ellis by Peter Dent his Attorney

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~                          Complains that whereas The Said Peter ye 20th. day of March in ye year of our Lord 1693

                                                                at Monocan within the jurisdiction of this Court was indebted to the sd Ellis in the Sum

of Seven hundred and eighteen Pounds of Porke, for Sundry goods and Merchandizes by the said Ellis & Damaris his

Wife to the Said Peter Sold & delivered as pr accot here in Court produced may appear, and the Said Peter to the sd Ellis

in manner aforesd being indebted, did assume upon himself, & to the Said Ellis faithfully promise that he the sd

Peter the sd Sum when requested would well & truly Content & pay. Nevertheless the sd Peter his promise & assumption

aforesd not regarding but minding him the Said Ellis in this behalf to deceived & defraud the Same to the Said Ellis
