        The Deposition of John: Henry Aged Two & thirty years or thereabouts Saith that upon the eight day of June Anno

        Domini 1693. the Depon^t. being bound for Barbadoes in the Brigantine the Stephen & Mary which Said Brigantine held

        a great quantity of tobacco on Board with other goods which said Tobacco was Shipt or board (viz) the greatest part by John

        West of Somerset County in the Province of Maryland, the sd Vessel &Cargo were taken by the ffrench at an Island Called

        the Isle of Ash. m^r Wm. Round was Comander of the sd Brigantine being Shipt by the owner m^r Stephen:Horsey of the

        County & Province aforesd, and further Saith not. John: Hendry
