he dared and Clapping his hand toward his breeches told him he would reep up his belly, after which this Deponent wth

the rest of ye Company persuaded the Said Charles out of door, and the Sheriff Comeing out Comanded the Said Tindall in

their Maties Names to Aid, and assist him he told him their was enough beside what need they medle with him And Some

time after Came John Barker and four Men along with him And the sd John Barker after Some discourse with Peter–

Whaples and the Sherif within Came out and told this Deponent & others with him That they were young Men and did

not know what they Came about, if he had gone to take ancient Men & house keepers, they would not have Come with him

Suppose Saith he that yw should breed a Mutiny among us & kill a Man your great Men would not bear yw out in it, you would

be hanged for it, or if wee should break an arm of yours or put out one of yr eyes you would have the mends in yrown hands

they would not mentaine you. further this Deponent Saith that the sd PeterWhaples Said that what did it Signifie to take

down a Gunn, there was nothing in her. Yes replyed the Said Tindall She is Charged with Shott & bullets for a Wolfe that

morning And further the sd Barker, did tell John: Teague that if he were in Peter Whaples his place he would not goe

along with them. And further this Deponent Saith not to the trueth of all which this Deponent hath hereunto Sett his hand

this 24th day of September 1694.                                                                            Robert Johnson.

                Memorandum That the day above mentioned Robert Johnson Junr Came before me & made Oath to

                the trueth of ye above Written as Witnesse my hand. James Round.

The Said Leonard Johnson & Robert Johnson being Examined with one Wm: Kenney. The fore mentioned Jno.Teague being

a Material evidence for their Maties being Sick as Said, not appearing it was Considered by the sd Justices and Ordered

That the Said Charles Tindall and John: Barker give good Security to appear at or next County Court to be holden ye Second

Tuesday in January Next to answer to their Maties &ca.

                Whereupon Came the sd Charles Tindall and his Security Robert Cade and the sd Charles did acknowledge hmself

                to owe and be indebted unto their Maties King William & Queen Mary the just Sum of One hundred pounds Sterling

                money of England & the sd Robert in ye Sum of fifty pounds like money aforesd due to be leavied on their goods

                & Chattels Lands & Tennements for their Maties uses &ca. - - - - - - - - - - - - -

The Condicon of this Recognizance is Such that if the above bound Charles Tindall doe make his prsonall appearance

at our next County Court to be holden the Second Tuesday in Janry next then & there to answer to all Such matters &

things as Shall be Objected agt him On behalf of their sd Maties then the Recognizance to be void & of none effect

Otherwayes to be & remain in full power force & vertue. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

                Whereupon Came the Said John: Barker and his Security mr Miles Gray and the sd John did acknowledge himself to

                Owe and be indebted unto their King William & Queen Mary the just Sum of One hundred pounds Sterling money

                of England and the Said Miles in the Sum of fifty pounds Sterling money afd due to be leavied on their goods and
