( 155 ) To be judges as aforesd And therefore Wee doe Comand yw that yw dilligently attend the keeping of ye Peace Laws and Orders & all & Singular other the prmises & at Certaine dayes appointed according to Act of Assembly in this Case provided. And such places which you or any four or more of you as afd Shall in that behalfe apoint yee make enquiry of the Premises & prform & fulfill the Same in forme afd doeing therein that which to -- Justice appertaineth according to the Laws Orders and reasonable Customes of this our Province Saveing to us Our Amerciaments & other things thereof to us belonging. And therefore Wee Comand the Sheriff of our Said County of Somerset by vertue of these prsents that at the dayes & places afd which yw or any four or more of yw as afd Such and so many lawfull Men of yr County by whome ye trueth of the premises may the better be known and enquired of And lastly Wee have appointed John:West of Somerset County Gent. Clerk and keeper of the Records & proceedings of this your Court, and therefore you shall Cause to be brought before you at the dayes & places the Writts precepts & Processes & Indictments to yr Court & Jurisdiction belonging, that the Same may be inspected & by a due Course determined as afd. Witnesse our trusty & Wellbeloved ffrancis Nicholson Esqr Capt Genrll & Governr in Chief, in & for our Province & Teritories of Maryland the Sixteenth day of October in ye Sixth year of or Reign &ca Annoq Domini 1694

To fffancis Jenckins and John Winder of Somerset County Gent – Greeting, Wee doe hereby authorized & impower yw the said Capt. John Winder to Admr the Oaths – appointed by Act of Assembly Parliament to be taken instead of the Oaths of Allegiance & Supremacy as also the Oath of Justice of the Peace to the Said ffrancis Jenckins, And you the Said ffrancis Jenckins having taken ye Said Oaths are to Admr the same unto the Said Capt. John:Winder and the rest of the Justices & Comissioners of the Said County respectively as they are Named in the wthin Writton Comission, for which this Shall be your Suficient authority, hereof fail not and when you have So done you are to Certifie the Same under your hands and Seals unto us in our high Court of Chancery with all Convenient Speed.
