116 A. The Commissioners of said town may purchase and
hold any property, real, personal or mixed that may be neces-
sary for municipal purposes and dispose of the same for the
benefit of said town.

116 B. They shall have power to establish building lines in
all the streets and highways in said town, or which shall here-
after be opened therefor, and to compel all persons erect-
ing buildings in said town to conform thereto, under such
penalties as they may prescribe by ordinance, but no building
shall hereafter be erected for the purpose of a stable or privy
or for a place for confinement of any live stock within one
hundred feet of any existing public street or highway in said
town. Any person or persons violating this last section shall
on conviction pay a fine of not less than fifty nor more
than one hundred dollars for each offense and the costs of
prosecution, and upon failure to pay the said fine and costs
shall be committed to jail until the same shall be paid, or for
the period of forty days, whichever shall first occur.

116 C. No person shall permit his horses, mules, hogs or any
cattle of any kind, with the exception of milch cows, to run
at large within the limits of the said town of La Plata, and
no person shall permit any cattle of any kind whatever to run
at large within one hundred yards of the Pennsylvania Rail-
road Station, located in said town, or within one hundred
yards of the court house in said town, or within one hundred
yards of any church now constructed or hereafter to be con-
structed in said town, or upon or over any existing street or
highway in said town running between any two of the afore-
mentioned places, locations or structures, or leading from the
lot or parcel of ground upon which any one of said structures
is or shall be located to the lot or parcel of ground upon which
any one of the other said named structures is or shall be
located ; provided, however, that if the commissioners of said
town shall deem it for the best interests of the people of said
town, and consistent with the maintenance of the health-
fulness and cleanliness of said town, they may, upon
giving ten days' notice in some newspaper published in the
town of La Plata, suspend the operation of this last-mentioned
provision prohibiting, as aforesaid, the running at large of
all kinds of cattle within the said specified limits in said
town, but such suspension shall, in no case in which the said
commissioners may determine to exercise the power of the
same, operate for more than three months at any one time ;
and provided further, that unless and until in the manner
herein specified, the said commissioners shall order and put
into effect such suspension this said provision shall be in full
