the authorities in any town in said county, as the case may
be, to use and occupy, for the purpose of their said railroad,
any public road in said county, or a street, alley or lane
in any town of said county.
SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That it shall be lawful for said
company to issue its bonds or obligations in sums of not less
than five hundred dollars each, and payable with interest at
such time or times as the president and directors of said com-
pany may appoint, and to sell and dispose of the same, and
to provide for the security and payment of the same by mort-
gage or otherwise, and also that it shall and may be lawful for
the said company to issue certificates of stock, and to apply the
same, if they shall find it expedient to do so, in payment of
the expenses of the construction and equipment of said road
or other liabilities of said company.
SEC. 9. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 458.
AN ACT to authorize the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore
city to make annual appropriation for the benefit of "The
Home for Fallen Women of Baltimore City."
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore city are
hereby authorized and empowered to appropriate annually
towards the current expenses of "The Home for Fallen Women
of Baltimore City," any sum or sums of money, not exceeding
fifteen hundred dollars per annum.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 463.
AN ACT authorizing the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore
to provide certain aid annually for Joanna Braden, widow of
James T. Braden, and her infant child.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore be and
it is hereby authorized to make annually, without the recom-
mendation of the Board of Fire Commissioners of said city,
