CHAP. 184

late of Frederick county, died intestate about fifteen days.
ago, seized of a small tract or parcel of land, situate in said
county, containing about three acres, which was conveyed
to him by a certain Daniel Plane, by deed bearing date the
twentieth day of June, one thousand eight hundred and
twelve and recorded amongst the land records of said coun-
ty, in Liber W R No 43, folios 180, 181, and 182 that
the said Henry Brace, left no other heirs or near relations,
except the following viz Lydia Evert, a sister of the said
Henry, and George Bruce, Isaac Bruce, and David Bruce,
sons of John Bruce a deceased brother of the said Henry,
all of whom were born free and are still living, that the said
Lydia, George, Isaac and David, are now in possession of
the said land and are desirous to sell the same but cannot
make a satisfactory title by reason of their inability to prove
the marriage of the parents of the said Henry and it seems
reasonable that the said tenants and claimants of the said
land, should hold, and be confirmed in then right to the
same, free and clear of all right or claim thereto of the

State, by escheat or otherwise Therefore,
Section 1 Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Ma-
ryland, That all right, claim, and demand of the State of
Maryland, in and to the land aforesaid, be and the same is

hereby relinquished
Sec 2 And be it enacted, That the said Lydia Evert,
George Bruce, Isaac Bruce, and David Bruce, be and they
are hereby declared to be able and capable in law, to take,
hold, and inherit the land aforesaid, from the said Henry
Bruce deceased, and also that they be, and are hereby dc
dared to be capable in law to take and inherit both real and
personal property from each other, in like manner as if they,
and also the said Henry, had been born in lawful wedlock

An act authorising the Commissioners of Washington Coun
ty, to erect a Stone Bridge across the Antietam Creek,
where the road from Sharpsburgh to the Maple Swamp,
crosses said Creek
